Please join us as bring hope to the Haitian refugees living in the Dominican Republic.

Our Story

Looking for individuals who are willing to take time out of their busy lives to care for those less fortunate in life. Come and join us in serving others. Your smile, your time, your friendship will make a huge difference in others.

 Red Nose Day

Within each of us is the desire to explore new friendships, new cultures, and new languages. We have multiple trips scheduled this coming year. We are looking for those who are young at heart. Our last trip had an age range of 10 to 70 years of age... Where do you fit?

Our Mission

What Color Is Hope began with a desire to help two disabled boys living in a pallet home with their mother and sister. A whole community came together for this project and now more and more individuals are asking how they can help share their time and resources. Our next project is to expand an orphanage to accommodate up to 60 children.

Compassion Is More Than A Feeling It's Taking Action.

What Color Is Hope began as simple housing project to help two disabled boys bound to wheel chairs with a limited life span… they lived in a pallet home with their mother and sister.

This family was in dire straights as are many Haitian refugees who live in the Dominican Republic.. Due to the extreme unemployment in Haiti as many as 600,000 to 1 million Haitians now live in the Dominican Republic. Many of them living is small pallet homes, with dirt floors in very unsanitary conditions… yes they have a roof over their heads but barely.

Les and Kathy Sloan were filled with compassion and found themselves wanting to make a difference in at least one family. What began as two people with big hearts evolved into a whole community in Northern Canada called, "Mackenzie". Together they raised enough funds to put this family in the best living conditions possible enabling the twin boys to be able to wheel around freely in their wheel chairs.

A team was assembled from multiple communities in Canada and the USA. They headed off to the Dominican to build a home which was completed and now we find ourselves expanding with many new opportunities… Our HOPE is to rally together like minded individuals who are looking to do humanitarian work and share their lives, and their talents serving the less fortunate.

We provide ongoing opportunities where we can provide random acts of kindness expanding orphanages, and feeding the hungry.
