Help Us Build a Home For Cristino

Our mission at What Color is Hope has always been to connect with people who need a hand up. There are so many needs surrounding us at any given time. It has been a specific dream of ours to help those people who live in struggling situations on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic.

We are proud to announce our next project in the Dominican Republic will be a house built for Cristino and his son Eduardo.

They live in a pallet home. A home made of pieces of wood and metal. They are one wind storm from devastation.

I don’t know if you could imagine what it must be like to live in such conditions. The rains and tropical storms come and go on the North Coast and many times these pallet homes are flooded out during these times.

Our passion is build a safe place where the elderly, widows, and their children can grow up without the fear of having no shelter.

Our home builds are a simple 20 x 24 foot concrete block structure. It’s only 440 square feet but to Cristino it will be a palace. Two bedrooms, a bathroom, plumbing, electrical, and a small kitchen with sitting area. What a dream come true for this single dad.

We would like to invite you to come and share in changing Cristino’s life forever. Help us build him and his family a safe place, and a pleasant place to live and share their lives with their community.

We can’t do this without you. It really does take a team of people who want to put smiles on others faces. It takes caring and kindness to a whole new level. I promise your life will be changed on this trip.

Prayerfully consider joining our team this April 2 - April 11/24. If you can travel with us come consider donating to this house build.
